Examples:
Saving Aliases to a File
You can copy all aliases residing in RAM to a file on a volume for later retrieval.
Enter the following to create an alias file:
save aliases
<vol>
:
<filename>
<vol> is the volume that will store the alias file.
<filename> is the name of the alias file.
Example:
If you enter: The system:
unalias scroll
Deletes the alias named scroll.
unalias *
Deletes all aliases from memory.
If you enter: The system:
save aliases 2:aliases.1
Creates a file named aliases.1 on volume 2 and
copies the aliases from RAM to this file.
Note: The command alias precedes the alias name and alias text for each
entry in the file, allowing you to run the file as a script file.
