Customizing OSPF Services

Using Site Manager
To configure an OSPF virtual link to the backbone, complete the following tasks:
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose Protocols.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose IP. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose OSPF/MOSPF. The OSPF/MOSPF menu opens.
4. Choose Virtual Interfaces. The OSPF Virtual Interfaces window
opens.
5. Click on Add. The OSPF Virtual Interface Configuration
window opens.
6. Set the following parameters:
• Transit Area ID
• Neighbors Router ID
Click on Help or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-59.
7. Click on OK. You return to the OSPF Virtual Interfaces
window.
8. To change the default values for the virtual
link, set the following parameters:
• Enable
• Tran s it D elay
• Retransmit Interval
• Hello Interval
• Dead Interval
• Password
Click on Help or see the parameter
descriptions beginning on page A-59.
9. Click on Apply, and then click on Done. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
