Default: Read Only

Function: Specifies the access privileges that the router grants to all members of this
SNMP community.
Instructions: Select Read Only to allow all members of this community to only view
configuration and performance information about this router.
Select Read-Write to allow all members of this community both to view
configuration and performance information about this router and to
change the router’s configuration.

Editing an SNMP Community
To edit an SNMP community, begin at the Configuration Manager window (refer
to Figure 1-3) and
1. Select Protocols > IP > SNMP > Communities.
The SNMP Community List window appears (r
efer to Figure 1-5).
2. Select the community you want to edit.
3. Select Community > Edit Community.
The SNMP Community window appears (r
efer to Figure 1-6).
You can change both the name and the access privilege for the community.
Refer to the earlier section, “Ad
ding an SNMP Community,” for instructions
on how to configure these parameters.
If you want to add, edit, or delete community members from this community,
refer to the later section “Confi
guring SNMP Community Members.”
Deleting an SNMP Community
To delete an SNMP community, begin at the Configuration Manager window

1. Select Protocols > IP > SNMP > Communities.
The SNMP Community List window appears (r
efer to Figure 1-5).
