Specifying a Hold Time
The hold time is the number of seconds that LDP can wait without receiving a
keepalive packet from its peer entity before considering the LDP session down.
You can accept the default hold time, 40 seconds, or specify a hold time from 1 to
240 seconds.
To specify a hold time, complete the following tasks:

1. In the Configuration Manager window,
click on the ATM interface (
ATM1
) that you
want to modify.
The Select Connection Type window
opens.
2. Click on
MPLS
. The Edit MPLS Connector window opens.
3. Click on
LDP
. The LDP Session Records List window
opens.
4. Set the
Hold Time
parameter. Click on
Help
or see the parameter description on
page A-5.
5. Click on
Done
. You return to the Edit MPLS Connector
window.
6. Click on
Done
. You return to the Select Connection Type
window.
7. Click on
Done
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
