ATM ARP Configuration Parameter Descriptions
Use the following descriptions when you edit the parameters in the ATM ARP
Configuration window.
Parameter: ATM ARP Mode
Default: Client
Options: Client | Server
Function: Specifies whether ATM ARP is running as a client or server on this
interface.
Instructions: You must configure one ATM ARP server for each LIS you define.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.2.1.4.1.112
Parameter: ARP Server ATM Address Network Prefix
Default: None
Range: XX000000000000000000000000 to
XXFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
where XX = 39, 45, or 47
Function: Defines the ATM address network prefix of the ATM ARP server on your
network.
The XX byte must contain 39, 45, or 47. These values define the
Authority and Format Identifier (AFI). The AFI byte identifies the group
responsible for allocating the prefix and the format the prefix uses. For
more information about the AFI byte, refer to the ATM Forum UNI
specification (Version 3.0).
The network prefix and the user part form a complete ATM address.
Instructions: Enter the ATM address network prefix of the ATM ARP server on your
network.
