8. Conclusion
These Application Notes illustrate the procedures necessary for configuring the Aruba wireless
LAN switches to support Avaya IP Wireless Telephones and Avaya IP Softphone on the wireless
PCs. The Aruba 5000 and 2400 wireless LAN switches, as well as the Aruba APs were
successfully compliance-tested in the converged voice/data network configuration described in
these Application Notes. These switches and APs were able to support 802.11 a/b/g radio,
VLAN Tagging, QoS and 802.1x authentication as well as WEP encryption. They also support
roaming at both Layer 2 and Layer 3.
