Server Basics
Chapter 2
The “Server Identification” window appears:
5. Highlight the name of the server that will connect to the switch you
want to monitor and select Connect.
The first time you open BCMS Vu Server, accept the default,
“BCMSVuServer” as the Server name.
Note
If you want to become familiar with BCMS Vu software but
are not connected to or do not want to connect to a
DEFINITY system, select the BCMS Vu Server Simulator
icon in Start/Programs/Lucent Technologies/. This is a
version of BCMS Vu Server software that simulates a
connection to a switch and provides randomly generated
data for real-time and Historical Reports.
