Reference Point Deﬁnition

HEADER_START Points to the ﬁrst byte in the IP header

HEADER_END Points to the ﬁrst byte after the IP header

IP_WAN_HEADER_START Points to the beginning of the header (beginning

of the packet) for PPP and Frame Relay

IP_WAN_HEADER_END Points to the ﬁrst byte after DLCI in Frame Relay

and the ﬁrst byte after the Protocol ID in PPP

IP_SR_START Points to the beginning of the source routing

packet, which is the high-order byte of the

destination address

IP_SR_DATA_LINK Points to the ﬁrst byte after the RIF ﬁeld
