User-Deﬁned OSI Criteria

In addition to the predeﬁned OSI ﬁlter criteria, you can create trafﬁc ﬁlters with

user-deﬁned criteria by specifying an offset and length to these reference ﬁelds in

the OSI header:

OSI Actions

The OSI ﬁltering actions are Accept, Drop, and Log.

DECnet Phase IV Criteria and Actions

You can ﬁlter inbound DECnet Phase IV trafﬁc based on speciﬁed bit patterns

contained within the DECnet header.

Predeﬁned DECnet Criteria

Table 3-2 lists the predeﬁned ﬁltering ﬁelds for DECnet IV inbound trafﬁc ﬁlters

and the reference ﬁeld, offset, and length value for each criterion.

Reference Field Description

OSI_BASE Points to the ﬁrst byte of the CLNP header

OSI_DEST Points to the last two bytes of the Destination Address ﬁeld

OSI_SRC Points to the last two bytes of the Source Address ﬁeld
