Generating Configuration File Reports from Windows

To generate a configuration file report from Windows on a PC:

1. From the Windows desktop, choose Start > Programs > MS-DOS

prompt.

The DOS window opens.

2. At the DOS prompt, go to the \wf directory.

3. Enter the smcfgrpt command in the following format:

smcfgrpt

[-d] [-t] [-h] [-m] [-W

<warning_level>

] [-r

<report_template>

]

[-c]

<configuration_file>

[-o]

<report_file>

Table 9-3 describes the options you can use in this command line.

4. Click on OK.

The Report Generator generates a configuration file report.

-c

<configuration_file>

Specifies the name of the configuration file from which you

want to generate a report

-o

<report_file>

Specifies the path and file name of the report file. If you

omit this argument, the Report Generator sends the output

<stdout>.
