Parameter: Pass Thru Remote Address
Path: COM Connector > Edit Line > Edit SYNC Parameters
Default: None
Options: Any unique MAC address of exactly 12 hexadecimal digits
Function: Assigns a MAC address to the remote interface. This address becomes the
destination MAC address of packets that are bridged to the local MAC address.
You assign the source MAC address using the Pass Thru Local Address
parameter.
Instructions: Specify a unique MAC address for the remote interface, making sure that the
second digit is a zero; for example, 10fffabc5432.
Be sure to reverse the local and remote MAC addresses at the remote
synchronous pass-through interface.

protocols.

Options: 16 bit

Function: Specifies an error-detection scheme. You can choose either 16 bit (standard) or
32 bit (extended) frame check sequence (FCS) to detect errors in the packet.
Instructions: Set this parameter to 16 bit or 32 bit.
