Preparing Outbound Traffic Filter Templates
To add an outbound traffic filter to an interface, you apply an outbound traffic
filter template to the circuit. However, you do not always need to create a
template; often, you can begin with an existing template.
This section describes how to prepare an outbound traffic filter template by:

Creating a Template
To create an outbound traffic filter template:
Note: Changing a traffic filter template does not affect interfaces to which the
template has already been applied.

1. Display the Priority/Outbound Filters
window (Figure
7-1).
2. Click on Template. The Filter Template Management window
opens (Figure 7-3).
3. Click on Create. The Create Priority/Outbound Template
window opens (Figure 7-4).
4. Specify a descriptive name for the
template in the Filter Name field.
For example, use the name
Bridge01to03
for a template that contains information to
filter bridge frames from the MAC source
addresses 0x0000A2000001 to
0x0000A2000003.
