Application Assurance Networking

Application Assurance Networking is a Linux-based application that runs on specific

configurations of IBM eServer xSeries 306 and 336 platforms. Application Assurance

Networking performs the following functions:

● Identifies the applications running on the network.

● Monitors the quality of service (QoS) provided by the network to each application session

over a specific network path.

● Determines an alternate network path providing a greater QoS.

● In real-time, reroutes application sessions to better performing paths, without the

applications or the users being aware of the reroute.

Currently there is only one application under the Application Assurance Networking product

family that is licensed by RFA.
