Configuring IP Utilities

Parameter: Configure Peer Mode
Path: Select Protocols > Global Protocols > NTP > Peers
Default: Server
Options: Server only
Function: Specify the mode for the remote time server (peer). By default, Config Peer
Mode is set to Server.
Instructions: To configure a remote time server (peer), click on Add Peer and specify the
peer’s IP address. Bay Networks currently supports only the Server option.
MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.17.3.1.3
Parameter: Local Host Mode
Path: Select Protocols > Global Protocols > NTP > Peers
Default: Client
Options: Client only
Function: Allows you to specify the local mode in which you want to configure the local
NTP client. Currently, Bay Networks supports only Unicast Client mode.
Instructions: Specify Unicast Client mode in the Configuration Peer Mode selection box.
