Hearing Aid Compatibility: This Console is Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC).
THE ENHANCED ATTENDANT CONSOLE (302D TYPE)
The 302D Enhanced Attendant Console has four new features described
directly below.
Momentary Push Button Switch
The momentary action push button switch on the left side of the 302D
console activates and deactivates the console.
Handset/Headset Volume Control
The 302D allows you to adjust the handset/headset volume on the console
and displays the volume level as a graph on the display.
Expander Option
The 302D expander reduces the amount of background noise that is
transmitted during speech pauses. You can enable or disable this option as
outlined in the Console Operations Manual, 555-230-700.
Font Option
You can now select to display either Eurofont or Katakana characters as
outlined in the Console Operations Manual, 555-230-700.
PROCEDURE TO DOWNLOAD TERMINAL PARAMETERS ON DEMAND
FOR THE ATTENDANT CONSOLE:
When consoles are installed at the customer site, the technician should
download the parameters stored on the DEFINITY switch. The technician
can cause the Console to be downloaded from either the admin station or
from another terminal. With either method the Console must be on-hook to
be downloaded (press the button on the side of the console to place it On
Hook).
From the admin station the technician issues a busy out and release
command for the Console.
From another terminal the technician dials the Refresh Terminals parameters
access code and then dials the station number assigned to the Console.
